Yay! Finally Hiking at Great Falls Again!
Ever since the Chinese New Year started, Mac had been grounded due to my busy schedule. Most of the exercises he got had been from walks and games of fetch in the basement, sad life, I know. Today was the first time we were able to go hiking again and being very excited was an under statement!
The weather did not look good, it rained the whole day yesterday and an hour before the hike it actually snowed a little bit. Fortunately the weather held, 5 dogs (Suki, Buck, Lucky, Chasiu, Mac) and their crazy human slaves showed up for the Great Falls Billy Goat Trail B hike.
Parts of the trail were muddy, some rocks slippery from the melting snow and rain, but overall it was not too bad. We hardly saw anybody on the trail due to the weather so that was nice. While we were at the beach, a lab randomly materialized and joined our dogs for an intense game of fetch (see video below). I also got to test out my Tokina 11-16mm ultra wide angle lens! As you can see, I still need a lot of practice (need to get closer!) but I am very happy to finally get to try this lens out in the field!
